About PortDrivers
PortDrivers is a free, independent tool for truck drivers who pick up and drop off containers at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. It puts terminal gate cameras, road cameras, harbor weather, cargo ship positions, a terminal directory and a driver job board in one place, built for a phone.
PortDrivers is not affiliated with the Port of Los Angeles, the Port of Long Beach, PierPass, WCMTOA or any terminal operator.
Where the information comes from
- Traffic cameras: Caltrans.
- Terminal gate images: each terminal's own cameras, which are also listed by WCMTOA.
- Ship positions: vessel data via aisstream.io.
- Weather and alerts: the National Weather Service.
- Tides: NOAA.
- Fees, appointments and gate rules: they belong to PierPass, eModal and each terminal, and open on their own sites.
- Job listings: posted by trucking companies and reviewed before they appear. PortDrivers doesn't verify employers or endorse any listing.

Information on PortDrivers can be late, wrong or missing. Do not use it for navigation, for safety decisions, or to decide whether you can make an appointment. Check the terminal's own system and notices for gate hours, fees and rules. Ship types and the LA or Long Beach label on ships are approximate. Before you take a job, check out the company and get the pay and terms in writing.
